Moving & handling people with behaviours that challenge

This course is designed for qualified moving and handling trainers and champions only.  A minimum of one year’s practical teaching experience is required. Attendance can be used as evidence of your mandatory train the trainer update. The course looks at the most common challenging behaviours faced by staff when moving people in their care. Offers a structured method for the management and prevention challenging behaviour in the context of moving and handling.

Aim

The aim of the course is to develop your understanding on how to move and handle people with challenging behaviours safely.To enable you to train your care teams how to move people with behaviours that challenge safely.

  2. Put less difficult situations into the proper prospective
  3. Identify the needs of those in your care the different stages of care journey

  5. Combine and use challenging behaviour management tools effectively to manage behaviours that challenge
